The Great Wall is a series of Chinese military fortifications that have been built, destroyed then rebuilt several times and at several points, between the IIIrd century B.C and the XVIIth century to mark China’s northern border and defend it. It is the most significant architectural structure ever undertaken by men, simultaneously in lenght, surface, and by mass. On average, the wall rises up to 6 – 7 meters high, moyenne, and 4 to 5 meters wide. According to a 1990 report, the walls total lenght adds up to 6 259 km… (3899 miles) [wikipedia].

I finish 1st in 4h28mn45s, 42km, et 1.700meters of D+ , my associate Vincent Thibaudat finishes 5th in 5h32 after completing a great race and giving everything. The race was not so hard, but still far from being easy. 37 nationalities were at the start. A great race that brings good joy to me after the counter-performance at the Barkley.
As always, the pleasant has to accompany the useful, so after this marathon and two days of business meetings in Shangaï, it is time now to catch up with the Canton Fair and its 20.000 exponents in order to maintain the professional network, and prospect new potential professional adventures…
